Sweet, soothing words

Be wary of those who claim to care. If someone really does, they will not try to convince you . Instead, they will do what they do and it will be difficult to deny what is proven by their actions.

People speak sweet, soothing words to deceive and disarm. Do not be confused by the smiles they wear. Or you will not see the knife as it approaches your back.

There are those who look like they are up to something. And it has nothing to do with the common good. Instead, their eyes are on the prize, waiting for the next fool to fall in the trap.

An honest person will rarely say what you want to hear. Liars are quick with the praise, laying it on thick. The water warms slowly, until the gullible are cooked.

If it sounds too good to be true, it is. Keep your eyes open and you will see the trap before stepping into it. Pay attention, and you will hear the betrayal in the tone of their voice.

When someone butters you up, they intend to make a meal. The worst thing for a liar is to be found out. Then, what you will find is how swiftly they depart.

  1. Indeed. The Spirit of Friendship speaks loudly and harshly. He carries and readily employs a big stick. He is the one who fights for or against to the sweet or bitter end.

    1. Too many expect to find friendship where there is none. So, they end up used by those who know how to pretend. You do not need to look for light, because it shines.

  2. Just make sure you notice when people actually do care and try not to apply your own rules to what that is supposed to look like. True caring comes in many shades but only a few of them are visible to the human eye.

    1. People prove they care by their actions. No words are necessary. Any terms of persuasion that are uttered are automatically suspect.

    2. I am more or less talking about spiritual insight rather than dealing with excuses. There are no definite rules for right and wrong. A person who commits any act will genuinely know if it is write or wrong the moment they proceed; however, these acts can be askewed by one who only views the act with his mind and nothing else. This is why spiritual insight is so important. Additionally, one's own failings can be self hidden when one goes on a crusade to punish those he deems wicked.

    3. Rules are for the wicked. Those who care have no use for them. Instead, they judge all things by the heart.

    4. But first the heart must be judged before he can judge others. Hipocracy entirely invalidates a persons judgement. It ceases to be righteous; in fact, it never really was.

    5. One must always judge themselves first. But righteousness has nothing to do with it. Either a person cares or they do not.

    6. Perhaps it has to do with my ignorance of the defination of righteousness then or even lacking a word to really describe what i meant. I am unfortunately stuck on a cell phone with no dictionary; however, i used the word with spiritual context to explain that something good has occurred based in the heart of the one committed to the action. This is another reason why spiritual insight is a wonderful thing. It clears up misunderstandings like this. Try to figure out what i mean rather then what i say. I will still do my best to communicate well, but i am far from perfect in this area.

    7. Righteousness is a power play. It has no inherent value. Those who care do not care about being right.

    8. Ah! shoulda known! The root word was "right." Ironicly, I thought it meant spiritually good. Ho! Ho! Still, I do place spiritual relevance quite high! It seems like sometimes great struggles can occur between people when they are doing little more than typing to each other or even just having a friendly chat. Its like how Klingons make good lawyers. Sure, they are just talking, but on the spiritual level they are locked in deadly combat. This seems relevant in all things pertaining to any creature in posession of a soul.

    9. The heart is behind all our actions. It is that unseen force we call spirit. From thence, come conflicts both mental and physical.

    10. It's good to hear you say that. Oh! And the blog was good too! See ya, Sunday. :)

    11. Where words fail, the heart will tell all. Be wary of anyone telling you what you want to hear. Honesty means agreement is unlikely.
