From the ashes

What do you do when your whole world has been pulled out from under you? Everything you worked for has gone up in smoke. Yet, life still stirs among the ashes.

These things do not determine who we are. Instead, we make them what they are. In the absence of a human heart, the entire world is a lot of wasted space.

But there is life after loss, and every diversion is an opportunity. The game is only over when you stop playing. Otherwise, there is still a chance to win.

The shortest distance between two points is a straight line. But life is full of twists and turns. For the obstacles we face are real and difficult to overcome.

Patience and perseverance are like waves continually beating against the shore. Solid stone will eventually give way. And what impedes will do so no longer.

Like the fiery mythological bird, we can rise again. Our strength has increased and we are wiser for the experience. We go on, leaving the shackles behind.

  1. I don't really have any real beef with the blog, but I do wanna say a few things to help you on yer way. As long as I have known you, you seem to multitask between the way the world works and the way the spirit works. You seem to have some idea that they both need to be managed in order to get along in the universe. I'm sorry, Don, but middle-ground falls under the lukewarm category, and we both know the problems there.

My advice to you is to let the world go. Let all of its rules fall to ashes. Focus entirely on your spiritual journey even if it breaks those rules. Yes, people will look down on you for being outside the box, but their opinion will not really matter. Most people dislike seeing people break out of the box. They are more comfortable when people swelter along with them.

I understand that you are a very logically thinking person. Where that can be useful as a tool, if you live by it, you are essentially taking on a demonic perspective about the world we live in. Even I use logic once in a while to solve some mathematical problems; however, I refuse to live my life by it.

Am I asking you to be something that you're not? I doubt it. You've already proven yourself to be an amazing creative spirit in this world. You have done things that angels and demons cannot come close to. You've proven that you have no need to live a life of logic. You have proven that you are definitively a human being.

The grand thing about being a human being is that you have the unique ability to break all rules evolve infinitely in the direction that you choose. The only way to do that is to have an absolute focus on the spiritual side of yourself. Yes, you can be logical, but only as a tool. People who rate how the world works through logic are ultimately buying in to the cynicism of demons.

More than any time in your live, it is now that you need to jump into who you are with both feet. You need to stop calculating the world. You need to stop worrying about percentages. You need to let all that go and be as absolutely crazy, wacko, loopy as you can possibly be.

Time is running out. Time is literally running out. I'm not always going to be around to say these things to you. The world is about to move into a new phase, and I may not be here anymore. It breaks my heart to see you suffer. I care deeply about you, and I really do hope you make the right call. Peace be with you, friend.

    1. Thank you for your concern, Tommy. My focus has always been on the spiritual, but people need a basis of comparison to understand such things. By using my own experiences, I can communicate with those who do not operate on that level.

  2. When the path we are on comes to a dead end it's time to choose another or hit the wall. We learn from our experiences but don't have to relive them.

    1. Obstacles can be surmounted and adjustments made, Chris. The goal is still the same. It just might take a little longer to get there.
