Though a straight line is the shortest distance, it may not be feasible. No end can justify a foolish means. Usually, it is better to simply go around.
Starting all over may not be required. Sometimes, merely stepping to the side is sufficient. Then, you can keep moving forward towards your destination.
If you feel like banging your head against a wall, stop and think. Your skull will crack long before it will. Instead, use your brains to find a real solution.
It is easy to be discouraged when you lose your way. Remember it is not gone, only misplaced. Once it is found, then you can proceed with confidence.
Do not let the chaos around get within. What is vitally important is to remain calm. An agitated spirit tends to spend a lot of time just bumping into trees.
Usually indicative that you made a bad choice to begin with. It was stupid, but I can't go too hard on the person because their only human. And humans do stupid things as a regularity. YES, backtracking happens. That's real.
ReplyDeleteSince we do not know everything, we can make mistakes. However, often it is the situation that has changed and we are forced to adapt. It is amazing the effect that a slight adjustment can have.
DeleteIndeed, when your way is lost it is important to reflect on the situation so that hasty decisions do not lead you further into darkness. Nothing is gained stumbling in the dark.
ReplyDeleteHaste will make waste of the best of intentions. Patience is required to weather the storms of life. Regardless of what we must do, the goal should be to end up better.
