Fret not

When we worry, it does not make anything better. Things seem worse, though nothing has changed. Do what you can, and do not fret the rest.

Undue concern blows all things out of proportion. A frenzied individual is a danger to everyone. They can turn slight difficulties into peril.

The prophecy fulfills itself, in spectacular fashion. Do not lash out at your own reflection. You will end up with hands full of shattered glass.

Take only actions that will lead to improvement. Sometimes, the best move is not to make one. If you are standing on a cliff, do not step forward.

Those who are incapable cannot be held responsible. Decisions should only be made when one is calm. Let matters be seen in their true form.

Leave the small things to sweat for themselves. The best ideas are among the simplest. The more elaborate the plan, the less likely it will work.

  1. Trying to solve a problem by worrying is the equivalent of beating your head against the wall, only hurts yourself and solves nothing. There is a lot out of our control but so much we can do to make things better, wasting time fretting over the little things distracts us from our purpose.

    1. We have no use for distractions. There is so much we can do that needs to be done. Worrying just gets in the way.

  2. 1st Line: Worrying just happens as a matter of course. You can't realistically control that. Yes, it doesn't make anything better, Captain Obvious.

2nd Line: My question would be as to why that person is frenzies before I judge. I have had a number of entirely justified mental breakdowns.

3rd Line: Correct. Breaking glass can cause worse injuries than killing a tree... or eating a cheese danish....A WHOLE CHEESE DANISH!

4th Line: I was not walking to the cliff. There was an earthquake, and the ground fell down in front of me. Had nothing to do with me. Demons did it.

5th Line: Why is everyone always telling me to be calm? Who was the pompous demon who started that? Grit your teeth and go in swinging! They'll eat you alife if you don't!

6th Line: Do as much as you can as often as you can. Work yourself to death for what you believe in. Destroy the ground under your feet as you dash into the abyss created by all those horrible nasty tyrants that want to destroy humanity and its birthright!

    1. Worrying causes needless stress. In order to focus, one must remain calm. Scattering your energies to the four winds just depletes your resources.
