A better life

Life only gets better if you do something about it. By itself it is a miserable affair, full of sadness and disappointment. We must face this if we ever hope to overcome it.

People live and die and the world moves on as if they had never been. Only those who make a name for themselves are remembered. Whether for good or ill, they live on.

It is not enough to exist. You must overcome mere existence to have any form of longevity. Otherwise, entropy will bring all your achievements to naught.

The world does not care, so it is incumbent upon us to do so. Life will go on until death intervenes. It is what we do with the time we have that will make all the difference.

By being better, we can lift ourselves from the mediocrity of subsistence. We can encourage others to realize their potential. Nothing we imagine is truly out of reach.

Live like tomorrow will never come. None of us are guaranteed to see another sunrise. But by caring we can start a fire, which will continue to burn long after we are gone.

  1. It isn't enough to exist as you said, that's just step one. If we stop there, the world will miss all the wonderful things we can create. The world is a machine we can be a cog or a programmer, the choice is ours. Very inspiring and motivational Don.

    1. Existence is for sheep, Chris. And they are led to the slaughter in droves. The world is a machine, and we can do wonderful things with it.

    1. A cynic would let the way the world is discourage them, and pass this on to others. Before you can fix anything, Tommy, you must recognize there is a problem. Then, you can focus all your energies on solving it.
